Canelazo Embrace

As an Ecuadorian designer, I've created Canelazo Embrace to reimagine the serving ritual of canelazo, a beloved traditional hot beverage from my home country's Andean regions. This warming drink, typically made with cinnamon, sugar, and aguardiente (sugar cane alcohol), has been a staple in Ecuadorian culture for generations, often enjoyed during cold evenings and festive gatherings.

Drawing from my cultural heritage and contemporary design sensibilities, this sleek ceramic set marries functionality with sculptural elegance, creating a striking centerpiece for both casual gatherings and formal entertainments.

Canelazo Embrace represents my personal journey as an Ecuadorian designer, harmoniously blending my cultural heritage with contemporary design principles. It offers a fresh perspective on how traditional beverages can be presented and enjoyed in modern contexts, inviting users to embrace both the past and the present in their dining experiences.

This serving set demonstrates my approach to design: honoring my Ecuadorian roots while pushing the boundaries of form and function in modern tableware. It showcases my ability to create products that are not just functional, but also serve as conversation pieces and artistic expressions in their own right, bridging cultures through thoughtful design.
